BOY PHILIP

HMT Minesweeper Drifter.
Wildfire III, Queenborough.

Little is known about the Boy Philip. She was a fishing Drifter, fishing with long “drift” nets in the North Sea when requisitioned by the Admiralty in October 1939.

The Boy Philip was based at the Minesweeper Base, Wildfire III, Queenborough.

HMT Minesweeper Drifter Boy Philip would have looked like this. She would have a 3 inch gun mounted on her bow and sweeping gear fitted in her stern.
